Rotary Embossing & Die Cutting Machine

The Rotary Embossing & Cutting Machine was designed and built to produce a 'Press Ready Embossed Blank' from a continuously printed web. The Machine was capable of matching the embossed pattern to the printing on the web, then cutting around this embossed printed pattern. The machine could handle a 650mm wide web and could process at 100 meters a minute. The waste web was drawn through a scrap cutter and discarded.

These Die Cassettes were designed to accommodate Die diametersfrom 140mm to 250mm. Each Cassette is designed to easily beremoved from the machine and replaced with another Cassette containing another Die Set, as opposed to changing the Dies within the Cassette. The driven gear on the Support Roller Shaft engages with a fixed drive gear on the machine platform when the Cassette is positioned, eliminating any drive disconnection or reconnection when a die cassette is changed.
