The Ampoule Handling Machine was designed and built to handle the filled ampoule strings, through the Corona Treatment, Printing, Vision Check and Tub Loading Processes, downstream of the ampoule forming and filling machine.
The Infeed and Main Sections can run independent of each other. The Infeed Section can accumulate ampoules for up to 40 minutes while maintenance or adjustments can be made to the Main Section. Pre-manufactured Ampoule strings can also be added manually to the accumulation conveyor and re-introduced to the process. Once the Main Section is started again it will process the accumulated product as well as process the normal production output from the clean-room. The machine handles various ampoule sizes and configurations utilising different handling procedures for each ampoule string automatically, such as tub load patterns. This maximises the number of ampoules loaded per tub.
The machine accepts ampoules at a rate of one every 13 seconds from the up-stream process, but can process one every 8 seconds when required.
